Biography

dan-fisher-image-01Dan Fisher was born on August 26, 1959 in Ft. Smith, AR and grew up in western Arkansas. He started preaching when he was 16 and has been actively engaged in ministry all of his life. He earned a Bachelor’s degree at Arkansas Tech University and was trained for the ministry as a pastoral intern under the instruction of Dr. William Bennett at the First Baptist Church, Ft. Smith, AR.

Dan has been the senior pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in Yukon, OK since 1992. In the time he has been there, the church has experienced significant growth and has been consistently recognized as an evangelistic leader among OK Baptist Churches. Before moving to Yukon, Dan was Pastor of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Poteau, OK from 1983-1992,and Pastor to Singles at the First Baptist Church, Ft. Smith, AR from 1981-1983.

dan-fisher-image-02Dan has a passion for communicating God’s truth to this culture of “political correctness” and is committed to helping return America to its Christian roots. He is one of the leaders of the Black Robed Regiment and travels all over America presenting his “Bringing Back the Black Robed Regiment” presentation that gives the history of the significant role the preachers played in America’s War of Independence.

Dan serves in the Oklahoma House of Representatives representing Oklahoma’s District 60. He serves on the boards of Reclaiming Oklahoma for Christ, Bott Radio Network, the Oklahoma City Tea Party, and Vision America (a ministry of Rick Scarborough, Houston, TX). He is a frequent speaker at Tea Party rallies, is a published author, and has a national speaking ministry.

Dan recently released the second edition of his work, Bringing Back the Black Robed Regiment, that documents the amazing patriot preachers of the 18th century who made up the Black Robed Regiment. In this heavily documented work, Dan tells the fascinating story of how these “fighting parsons” preached the biblical principles of liberty from their pulpits, led the men of their congregations off to fight for liberty, and served as America’s early legislators once the war was won.

Dan and Pam, his wife of 34 years, have two children, Jacob 27 yrs (married to the former Brittany Whitman) and Rebekah 23 yrs. (Married to Tony Wise). Dan and Pam raise a few horses on their 30 acres west of Yukon where they live in a log house they built themselves.
